Welcome
Hi and Welcome to Ellie's Garden Mail Order.
I've decided to downgrade to a more simple list-style website that is easier to update so I
hope I'll be able to give you a better idea of what I am doing and what I have in surplus
at present. I still do mail order or pick up in San Diego. To order please find the PURCHASE
PLANTS
buttons below. You will be billed by paypal invoice
for the exact postage
for your order when it goes out. If you need the plants by a certain date please
let us know before ordering so we can make sure it is do-able. Thanks!
If you wanna see what my old site looked like check it out here (it has pictures but please dont order anything from it since it's outdated!)
I occassionally have garden sales - view the website for those here & get on our mailing list.

Welcome
We're switching formats yet again! Click on the plants that you want. We ship out once a month but we will get you the plants on our next shipping day. OUR NEXT NORMAL SHIPPING DAY IS MONDAY 26 MAY. We will be closed for shipping until the last week in June so try to get your orders in before 24 May which is the last day to order for 26 May shipment. If you need a rush delivery please email prior to ordering.
If you order comes to less than $300, you will be billed for the shipping costs as well. Orders of over $300 are shipped to you free. We guarantee
live delivery of all plants or they will be replaced (we may need to do that in the next season though if the plant is low in stock).
We ship anywhere in the world but do not guarantee live delivery outside of the USA and shipping is at the buyers risk in the event of customs confiscation and so forth. Please contact us prior to ordering internationally so we can explain our international shipping to you. We will custom package your international shipment to meet your requests (small package, "happy birthday, Grandma!!!" on the outside of the box, etc).
Please note I don't ship when the temperature is above 80F in San Diego or the destination.
Likewise when the temperature is below 40F in either location some plants may be held for shipment later.

Monstera borsigiana varegata (sometimes called Monstera deliciosa bosigiana varegated) - $100
1 plant only is available 1 gallon and has been rooted over 1 year. Is in active growth with really nice varegation. It will produce those allwhite or half white/half green leaves under
bright shade conditions - it's a nice one.
Lapageria rosea cv 'Ongol' (this is a very desirable shell-pink cultivar - luminecent colour!) *** - $150
1 plant only is available. Bloomed last year.
Ficus dammaropsis - from Papua New Guinea - very diificult to propagate hence the price (air layering is only effective method and most plants shock after detachment from mother plant - I know it's pricey - this is why!). Note: this is a very large plant and is in a 5 gallon container. Shipping costs are separately billed but we will charge you exactly what the post office charges us. This is the only plant for which shipping is not included in the over $300 category as is our normal policy.
- $350 plus shipping (billed at the time we ship separately). If you're not hip to these awesome plants with 3 foot long leaves - this photographer has a great body of work which includes this tree)
Brugmansia "Super Spot" - the only truly red Brugmansia with a great fragrance. This is tomato red - check it out: click here to Check it out! on this Italian nursery website (they have some cool things too). This is "the" new Brug to have. I just received one in trade and it is apparently just off it's quarantine period and this might be the first place it's been listed for retail sale in the US. starts ready to go into the ground or 1 gallon pot. $250
Brugmansia species arborea - unavailable (or so it has been up to now I believe) in the US, this species Brugmansia is beautiful with perfectly formed little white flowers. Verrrry interesting if you are into hyrbirdizing as this os one of the species forms and I think it has been lost in the US. However, I have a few and they have all bloomed so I have verified their identification. Guaranteed to be the true arborea or your money and shipping back. $50 (4" start size) click here to Check it out! on this ethnobotanical website. Please do not ingest this or any other Burgmansia - here is why not
'Phanomenal'(Aka: Phaenomenal, Phänomenal) - a verrrry nice double pink Angel's Trumpet just in from Germany -(Image and Cool Italian nursery website start size ready to go into the ground or 1 gallon pot $80
Strongylodon macrobotrys ( Image on cool Italian website where you can probably buy these if you are in the EU, and has a cool blog with images - scroll to the very bottom - it's the last image) 4" pot size $40
Being propagated now for upcoming Summer 2008 Offerings:
